Alex Winston has a lovely collection of covers available for a free download
on HeavyRoc Music. Her quirky and lovable voice is all it takes for her to own these songs, which she really did record in her basement. It's a great little afternoon treat to have stumbled across (although I do believe I'm a little late here) and I highly suggest downloading the five covers of artists Francis & The Lights, Rolling Stones, Jack Penate, Teddy Bears and this Mumford and Sons one. She will be in Boston next week with
Stereo Telescope opening at
Brighton Music Hall on the 8th. Definitely a concert worth seeing.
