A voice with a slight warble and depth sets
Lauren Shera apart but apparently she doesn't need to rely on such distinguishing factors when she is being touted as the next in line for folk royalty. She's shared the stage with impressive names from Bob Dylan to Nanci Griffith so I'm a bit surprised that this is the first I'm hearing of Lauren Shera. Her folk songs come across as intrinsically sad, but upon closer inspection maybe she just hasn't got what she's looking for quite yet. This is one to keep an eye on, she's young and has plently of time for things to work out. Look for her album,
