I've never had a more inexplicable love for a songwriter (except maybe my crush on Justin Townes Earle and the really nice shoes he wears). But this is different than my JTE crush, this is more about the music. When I get a new Shakey song, I can't stop playing it for months. A year after I first heard his songs from
Roll the Bones he has released an EP available on
bandcamp (3 days only). It's just as sparse and gravely as his Roll the Bones album and now I need to excuse myself so I can play this on repeat for the next 72...err 200 hours.
