April Smith & the Great Picture Show - Movie Loves a Screen

I have been looking for this song on youtube ever since their first cd came out in February, it has been driving me crazy! Movie Loves a Screen and  Colors are my favorites. Its a fun toe-tapping tune. Their songs have a sort of old-school, 1920's vintage jazz element hidden within their pop songs that I really like. If you want to hear it in better quality check out their myspace.

  1. This one sort of suits my newly discovered interest in jazz music. Good job at posting this one!

  2. Thanks Big Al! Try starting out with Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, and John Coltrane and going from there. Of course the early "Big Band" stuff of the 1920's can be really great too. What I like most about jazz is seeing the huge influence it has on the music I like to listen to today. Especially when it is artists like April Smith who incorporate jazz and ragtime beats into a song like this one.
