Kashka is a side project from 2009 belonging to Kat Burns, better known as the singer of the wonderful Canadian pop group Forest City Lovers. I had heard she was involved in other musical endeavors but never heard any of it until I stumbled across this the other day. It's easy to see how "Hands In" with it's electronic-pop leanings didn't fit with the Forest City Lovers but I'm happy she recorded this. It's a nice reminder of how calming her voice is, and it has just the right amount of catchiness to it even though it feels like a slightly unfinished song. Hopefully there will be more.
